The Government of Delhi approved an additional state subsidy of Rs 30,000 for 3 kW rooftop solar systems, stacking on top of the central PM Surya Ghar subsidy. This brings the total combined subsidy for a 3 kW residential rooftop solar plant in Delhi to Rs 1,08,000 (Rs 78,000 central + Rs 30,000 state). Delhi aims to accelerate rooftop solar adoption across the capital to meet its renewable energy targets.
Eligibility requirements
- Must be a residential consumer in Delhi
- Must apply through PM Surya Ghar portal and qualify for central subsidy
- System capacity of 3 kW
- Must use empanelled vendors and approved equipment
- Grid-connected system with BSES or Tata Power Delhi DISCOM
